Excursion "clay mining and clay preparation" - 6th Raw Materials Day of Rhineland-Palatinate

On 1 July 2010, at the initiative of the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Economy, Transportation, Rohstoffpreis
Agriculture and Viticulture, and the trade associations and quarrying industry, this year's Raw Materials Day took place in the Westerwald Ceramics Museum. As the winner of the Raw Materials Award for Innovation in 2004, Sibelco Deutschland supported the 2010 Raw Materials Day by organising a guided excursion with the theme "clay mining and clay preparation.

Prospective industrial ceramists visit SIBELCO DEUTSCHLAND deposits

In May 2010, 20 trainees from the ceramic industry class of the “Schule für Farbe und Gestaltung” located in Stuttgart, visited two quarries and preparation plants in the Westerwald area during their study trip.

SIBELCO Deutschland takes over Josef Wagner Tonbergbau

With effect from 2 January 2010, SIBELCO Deutschland, Ransbach-Baumbach, has taken over Josef Wagner, Tonbergbau und Transporte, the clay mining and transport company based in Wirges. With this acquisition, Sibelco Deutschland wants to extend its material reserves quantitatively and qualitatively so as to ensure a more dependable supply to customers.
